Frequently asked questions
What are the special advantages of eBay with print-on-demand?
eBay is one of the most popular online marketplaces with high visitor numbers. Thanks to the familiar interface and the easy processing of the proven buyer protection, the platform sees regular traffic both in Germany and worldwide. Compared to shop systems, online retailers do not have to acquire their buyers first, as a large active customer base is already available.
Tip: If you have already linked a shop system, you can use eBay ideally as an additional sales channel to reach even more customers.

What do I need to consider for the eBay integration with Shirtigo?
To link with Shirtigo, you only need a valid private or business eBay account. However, since private eBay accounts are subject to a general sales limit, we recommend using a business account. Detailed instructions.
If you link your eBay account for the first time, a confirmation is required after logging into eBay (eBay sets a cookie). If you undo the link and create a new one, the confirmation is no longer necessary. If you want to link another eBay account, it is important to log out of eBay after unlinking the first connection and ideally delete the cookie. More info.
How can I specify payment methods on eBay?
When registering for eBay, you first need to specify the payment methods for your customers. This is also necessary to synchronize your Shirtigo items and to enable placing orders.
To do this, click on this link and add the desired payment options. Usually, you can choose bank account, credit or debit card, and PayPal. More info.
Is there a selling limit on eBay?
For private eBay accounts, there is a general selling limit to prevent commercial abuse. Therefore, we recommend using a commercial eBay account.
If you are new as a seller on eBay, there is also initially a selling limit (10 items per month). You can raise the limit to 100 items per month. Various options are available to you for the increase.
How can I adjust the eBay policies?
On eBay, there are policies for sellers that set rules for shipping, return policies. When you link your eBay account with Shirtigo, a Shirtigo fulfillment policy is created and assigned to your products. You can adjust this policy in the Shirtigo dashboard under "Shops" in the integration settings. After a few minutes, eBay will take over the changes (also for synchronized Shirtigo products). More info.
Which eBay marketplaces can I use?
With Shirtigo, you can use the German-speaking eBay marketplaces ebay.de (Germany), ebay.at (Austria), and ebay.ch (Switzerland). Note: If you have a marketplace on ebay.de, customers from Austria can theoretically buy your products there. However, eBay.de-synced products do not appear on eBay.at.
If you want to sell on multiple marketplaces in parallel, you need to create multiple integrations accordingly. More info.
