WooCommerce is one of the most successful professional e-commerce systems in the world. One of the reasons for its popularity is that it is free to use. Furthermore, it offers numerous setting options as well as free and paid plug-ins and themes to individualize your own store. In addition, the open source solution includes a worldwide community.
Before you connect your WooCommerce store to the Cockpit, a few requirements must be met. Firstly, your WC store must have a valid SSL certificate and secondly, it must be running on at least version 3.0 to ensure smooth operation.
Furthermore, the option "Simple" must not be selected under "Permalinks" (under "Settings") and the option "Do not crop" must be activated under "Product images". Usually, however, both are already correctly preset in WooCommerce.
As soon as orders get the status "in process", they are transferred automatically. All orders with the payment method PayPal or credit card get this status. With the payment method prepayment, they receive the status "on hold" and must be manually set to "in processing" after receipt of payment.
Once the order reaches the status "shipped", we change the orders status automatically in your WooCommerce store.
Since WooCommerce is an open-source solution, there is no central testing authority that checks every plugin for any complications. Therefore, in a few cases, some plugins may interfere with the transfer of products and orders. Plugins that are known to us are "W3 Total Cache" (usually solvable by temporary deactivation) and "WP Rocket".
