DTG printing: Start your business without a minimum quantity
Flexible, sustainable and with no minimum quantity: use DTG printing for your designs and benefit from fast processing and the highest print quality made in Germany.

What is DTG printing?
DTG (Direct-to-Garment) is a modern textile printing process in which your design is printed directly onto the garment - similar to an inkjet printer. The result: detailed prints, brilliant colors and a pleasantly soft feel, as the colors penetrate directly into the fibers. At Shirtigo, we rely on high-quality Kornit machines, the market leader in DTG printing. We use water-based, environmentally friendly and vegan inks that are both durable and sustainable.
Perfect for one-offs, personalized products and small runs - with no upfront costs or risk.
State-of-the-art technology ensures detailed designs, rich colors and a pleasantly soft feel.
Printed with water-based, vegan inks and the latest Kornit technology in a German print shop.
How does DTG printing work at Shirtigo?
1. positioning & pre-treatment
The textile is fixed in the DTG machine and pre-treated with a special liquid. This pre-treatment ensures that the colors look vibrant and the print remains durable even after many washes.

2. direct print job
Using state-of-the-art Kornit systems (market leader in the DTG sector), your motif is applied directly to the fabric in the same way as with an inkjet printer. We use water-based, environmentally friendly and vegan inks that penetrate deep into the fibers.
3. fixation & curing
After printing, the textile is heated in a drying system. This causes the ink to bond permanently with the fibers. The result: a durable, wash-resistant print with a soft feel that is comfortable to wear.

4. quality control & shipping
Every product undergoes a visual inspection at Shirtigo. It then goes straight to shipping - directly to your end customers on request using white label fulfillment.
What kind of motifs is DTG printing suitable for?
DTF is suitable if:
- Your motif contains many colors, gradients or photorealistic elements
- You want to create detailed designs with fine lines
- You want to produce individual items or small runs flexibly
- A soft, barely perceptible feeling of pressure is important
DTF is less suitable if:
- If very intense colors or one hundred percent color fastness are desired
- you want to print on highly stretchy or synthetic fabrics (DTG is ideal for cotton)

How does DTG differ from DTF?
DTG prints directly into the fabric (very soft, ideal for detailed motifs on cotton). DTF uses a film transfer and scores points for material variety, color saturation and robustness - especially on "difficult" fabrics. Use DTG for a soft feel and the finest details on cotton; DTF for maximum versatility. More information on our finishing techniques
How does a DTG print feel and how durable is it?
The print is soft/barely noticeable as the ink penetrates the fibers. Fixation/curing makes the motifs suitable for everyday use and resistant to washing.
