What is embroidery?

Embroidery is one of the finest finishing processes for textiles. Your motif is worked directly into the fabric using colored yarns - precise, robust and with a unique feel. At Shirtigo, we only use high-quality yarns made from recycled polyester for our embroideries and produce and ship directly from our own embroidery shop.

You create your embroidery design in the Shirtigo Creator and offer it in your store or order directly via the dashboard. Please note our requirements for the embroidery file.

2. converting the design file

The production file for the stick is created when the first order is received. The one-off set-up costs are not charged until then.

Stick is particularly suitable when:

  • You want to implement a logo, lettering or a clear symbol
  • You want to give your product an exclusive premium look
  • The product should be hard-wearing and durable

Stick is less suitable if:

  • Your motif contains many details or color gradients

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What requirements must my embroidery file meet?

There are currently 15 thread colors available, of which you can use 6 colors per design. Please note the detailed information in our Helpcenter.

How much does it cost to create the embroidery file?

Before embroidering, your file is manually converted into an embroidery design. For this we charge a one-off fee of € 7.50 net per motif size and per material (caps/caps, textiles). For example, if you have caps and textiles embroidered with the same motif, we need two embroidery files (2 × € 7.50 net). We create the embroidery file after the order is received; the costs are automatically invoiced with the first order.

Can I convert an embroidery file myself?

Independent conversion is not possible because the file must be precisely matched to our embroidery machines.

Can I have a sample of my embroidery motif made?

Yes, we recommend this so that you can see in advance how your motif will look embroidered. The result may vary slightly depending on the material. If you are planning a larger order, you should definitely have a sample made first. As we produce individually, we cannot accept returns due to non-conformity. Samples are also ideal for product photos in your online store. We offer discounted sample orders for such tests. You can find details on this in the Helpcenter.

How long does it take to create the embroidery file?

As soon as your store receives the first order with this design, we will convert your file into an embroidery file. This usually takes 2-3 working days. The first production is therefore extended by around 2-3 working days; subsequent orders with the same motif run without this additional step.

What types of embroidery do you offer?

We currently offer a flat 2D stick. A 3D stick is already being planned.

Can I also embroider an already created embroidery file in a different thread color?

No, this is not possible. If you want a different thread color, you must create a new design in the desired color. As soon as this design is ordered, the one-off costs for creating the embroidery file will be charged again.
